Every hour your team worked, and what it was worth.
Time tracking, projects, invoices and quotes for teams that bill by the hour. Completely free — every feature, every person, no trial.
Free means free
- Every feature. Nothing is held back for a paid tier.
- Every person on your team. There is no seat count and no per-user price.
- No trial that expires, and no card to enter.
ClockDoc is built and paid for by Grasp, who use it to run their own studio. It is the tool they needed, kept public because there was no reason not to.
What you get
- Timesheet
- Log a week in the grid, or start a timer and let it run. The calendar view shows the same hours laid out across the day.
- Projects and tasks
- Rates, budgets and members per project. Every project carries a colour, so a week is readable before you read any of it.
- Approvals
- Submit a week for review, approve it, then lock it so the numbers stop moving after anyone has billed against them.
- Invoices and quotes
- Turn unbilled hours into an invoice in the client’s own currency, and send a quote before the work starts.
- Reports
- Where the hours went, what they were worth, who is over or under, and what is still waiting to be billed. Export to CSV, Excel or PDF.
- On your phone
- Install it to your home screen and it opens like an app. Your week stays readable without a signal.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature, for everyone on your team, with no trial period and no card. There is no paid tier holding anything back, and no seat count to run out of.
Who is behind it?
Grasp, a software studio in Slovenia. ClockDoc started as the tool they needed to run their own projects and bill their own clients, and it is still what they use.
What happens to my data if ClockDoc stops?
You can export your time, reports and invoices to CSV, Excel or PDF at any point, without asking anyone. Nothing you put in is locked to the product.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Install it to your home screen and it opens in its own window like an app. Your recent week and projects stay readable without a signal, though logging new time needs a connection.
Can I bill clients in different currencies?
Yes. A client can carry its own currency, and invoices are raised in it rather than in a single company-wide default. Work in two currencies is billed on two documents, never added together.
